A challenging and diversified opportunity exists for an ambitious Finance individual to play a key role in driving financial success within the Applied Analytical Technologies (AAT), part of the Chromatography & Mass Spec Division (CMD). This position owns the weekly/monthly/quarterly business review and reporting, as well as managing processes such as AOP or STRAP for the Inorganic MassSpectrometry (IOMS) Product line . The role will be spending a lot of time for analysis in understanding and benchmarking the IOMS P&L. The position reports to the Senior Finance Director for the Applied Analytical Technologies business unit and works very closely with the finance Managers of the of the other product lines in AAT. A key aspect of the role is the business partnering with the GM for Inorganic IOMS. This aspect of the role requires financial leadership to grow the business and drive productivity across all functions including financial judgement in long terms investments (such as R&D), as well includes ownership of the P&L together with the GM.
Support analytical requirements of the AAT Senior Finance Director and the IOMS VP/GM
Contributes significantly to the weekly/monthly/quarterly business review, including creation and distribution of packages and analysis
Support weekly booking and revenue forecasting including alignment with global commercial teams and factory
Provide business intelligence on productline performance, opportunities and challenges
Model EBITA and profitability impacts of business dynamics
Leads all consolidation activities for IOMS around the Annual Operation Plan (AOP) and STRAP
Consolidate, report and analyze KPI’s
Collaborate with all functions within IOMS to gather proactively relevant analytical facts around business drivers and effectively explains and communicates results to AAT finance director and IOMS GM
Drive continuous improvement and standardization of reporting and is flexible in using new methodology or tools as rolled out
Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required
Recommends opportunities for financial improvements
Is a key member of the IOMS leadership team and valued business partner to the General Manager of the business
Leads and is accountable all financial processes within the IOMS productline, while driving alignment and standardization across AAT/CMD
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
8-10 years progressive experience in related Finance roles
Advanced Excel skills; modeling, pivot tables, Power BI
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management System or strong aptitude for multi-dimensional financial reporting databases a plus
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to work as part of both a team environment and individually
Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships
Career-driven, interested in advancement to further responsibilities
German a plus
